Our History
1925
Chambers and Cook founded by Harold Chambers and Mr. Cook, who later left shortly after the business was established.
1950
Harold’s daughter Anne met and married Pat Blackburn during a European coach tour, where he was the driver. Pat soon joined the business and became the managing director.
1970
Chambers and Cook expanded internationally, completing their first load to Belgium.
1980
Moved to European house with a tailor-made design to support the growing fleet.
1995
Paul, the oldest son, took over as managing director, a position he still holds today.
2001
Became a founder member of Palletforce.
2019
Established an in-house customs team in response to Brexit.
2021
Celebrated safely delivering two million pallets.
2023
Committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2040.
2024
Traveled a total of 7,500 million kilometres a year, equivalent to ten times the distance to the moon and back.
2025
Celebrated 100 years in business, honouring colleagues and customers.
