Both import and export operations are currently being affected by the extreme weather conditions.
Port facilities: Due to ice, snow and high winds Felixstowe port is currently experiencing service disruptions on both shipside and landside operations. Inbound and outbound Vessels are presently delayed due to slow terminal throughput. The ports of Immingham, Southampton, Thamesport, Tilbury and Grangemouth are presently closed.
Container Road Haulage: (Exports) Although containers can be collected , many locations especially in the Midlands and North cannot be accessed. (on
imports) we are not sparing any effort in arranging all carrier haulage deliveries into those areas where is still possible to do so.
Trailers: Severe delays being incurred at every exit port of the UK so please check as to expected transit time when booking.
Rail: Many rail services have had to be cancelled due to terminals being closed inland or being severely disrupted .
Airports: London Heathrow and Stanstead still operating but some flight delays, London Gatwick closed, Birmingham and Manchester open, all airports North closed until further notice.
